Ingredients

Ingredients:

2 cup flour
0.5 cup sugar
0.5 cup shortening
2 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teeaspoon baking soda

Scotch Scones Directions

  1. Mix ingredients well. Pour onto well floured board, sprinkle with flour and pat to about ¾ inches thick. Cut into triangles. Whip egg white with with a fork until frothy and spread with pastry brush over the scones. Sprinkle with with sugar. Bake in quick oven (400 to 425 degrees ) for 12 to 15 minuets or until done and browned. Serve while hot.
