Ingredients

Spoon Rolls:

0.25 cup hot water
1 Tbs yeast
0.13 tsp sugar (a pinch)
0.75 cup water
0.5 cup cold water
0.5 cup sugar
0.33 cup shortening
1 tsp salt
3 cup flour
1 egg

Spoon Rolls Directions

  1. Combine hot water, yeast, and sugar.
  2. Set aside in a covered bowl for 5 minutes.
  3. Scald 3/4 cup milk.
  4. Stir 1/2 cup cold water itno milk.
  5. Pour and mix the remaining ingredients.
  6. Cover bowl and let the dough rise 1 hour.
  7. Spoon into greased muffin tins.
  8. Let rise 1 more hour.
  9. Bake 15 minutes at 350°

Notes

Start the process 2 1/2 - 3 hours before you want to serve.
