3 large eggs, seperated |
3 cups buttermilk |
6 Tablespoons shortening, melted |
3 cups, leveled flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 Tablespoons sugar |
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
Danish Aebelskivers Directions
- Directions; Beat egg whites until frothy
- put egg yolks in a bowl and gently fold in milk and shortening
- Beat well and add all dry ingredients and mix well
- Heat pan until hot enough to melt a dab of shortening to grease each pocket then add batter. If you want to add fruit put half portion of batter in pocket then add fruit , then top fruit with enough batter to cover it.
- Bring to high heat and when bottom is cooked turn over quickly with a fork to cook other side.
- Top with powdered sugar or syurp
