3 large eggs, seperated
3 cups buttermilk
6 Tablespoons shortening, melted
3 cups, leveled flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Danish Aebelskivers Directions

  1. Directions; Beat egg whites until frothy
  2. put egg yolks in a bowl and gently fold in milk and shortening
  3. Beat well and add all dry ingredients and mix well
  4. Heat pan until hot enough to melt a dab of shortening to grease each pocket then add batter. If you want to add fruit put half portion of batter in pocket then add fruit , then top fruit with enough batter to cover it.
  5. Bring to high heat and when bottom is cooked turn over quickly with a fork to cook other side.
  6. Top with powdered sugar or syurp
