1/2 pound frankfurters, cut into 1/2 inch slices |
1 cup carrots, peeled and diced |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon marjoram |
3 cups water |
2 11.25 ounce cans pea soup |
Smokey Pea Pottage Directions
- Saute frankfurters lightly in a kettle;Stir in carrots, salt, marjoram, and water; cover. Simmer 15 minutes, or until carrots are tender.
- Stir in green pea soup; simmer, stirring several times, 15 minutes longer to blend flavors.
- Ladle into soup bowls; garnish with paper thin slices of raw carrots, if you wish.
