Ingredients

Ingredients:

1 quart milk
1/2 teaspoon plain yogurt, unpasteurized
1 Tablespoon sugar (or more to taste)
1/4 cup fresh fruit (to taste)

Yogurt Directions

  1. Heat milk to 180°then cool 210°in top of cold water. Mix in yogurt and keep at a steady temperature for 4 to 5 hours or overnight. Put in fridge. 
  2. For creamy yogurt: add half and half. You can also add sugar and fresh fruit. 
  3. The yogurt is failed in 1½ inches of water to keep temperature steady, place bottle of yogurt in pan containing water at 110°. Place lid on top and wrapped in newspaper. Place in oven. Take chill off of oven before placing yogurt inside.
