2 cups flour |
1 Tblsp ginger |
2 tsp baking soda |
1/2 tsp salt |
3/4 cup shortening/butter |
1 cup sugar |
1 large egg, unbeaten |
1/4 cup molasses |
1/4 cup granulated sugar |
Ginger Crackles Directions
- Measure Flour, ginger, soda, cinnamon, and salt into a sifter. Sift twice, place in a small bowl. In a sepoerate bowl, cream shortening, add sugar gradually, creaming well after each addition. Bean in egg and molasses - Sift the dry ingredients into creamed mixture, mixing in well.
- Form into balls, roll in sugar.
- Bake in an ungreased cookie shees at 350° for 12-15 minutes
