Ingredients

Apricot Dessert

1 8 ounce can crushed pineapple
1 6 ounce package orange jello
2 4.3 ounce jar strained apricots**
1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 8 ounce tub cool whip
1 cup powdered sugar

Apricot Dessert Directions

  1. Boil Jello in pineapple until dissolved. 
  2. Add apricots.
  3. Mix together the cream cheese, whipped topping and powdered sugar.
  4. Set some of the cream cheese mixture aside and stir in the remaining into the Jello mixture.
  5. Top with reserved cream cheese mixture and sprinkle with nuts.

Notes

**  If you cannot find strained apricots (you probably can't,) put 1 1/4 cup dried apricot in boiling water and let soak until reconstituted (not on stove)

drain the water and put in blender and puree'. The final amount should equal 1 1/4 cup.
