Apricot Dessert
1 8 ounce can crushed pineapple |
1 6 ounce package orange jello |
2 4.3 ounce jar strained apricots** |
1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened |
1 8 ounce tub cool whip |
1 cup powdered sugar |
Apricot Dessert Directions
- Boil Jello in pineapple until dissolved.
- Add apricots.
- Mix together the cream cheese, whipped topping and powdered sugar.
- Set some of the cream cheese mixture aside and stir in the remaining into the Jello mixture.
- Top with reserved cream cheese mixture and sprinkle with nuts.
Notes
** If you cannot find strained apricots (you probably can't,) put 1 1/4 cup dried apricot in boiling water and let soak until reconstituted (not on stove)
drain the water and put in blender and puree'. The final amount should equal 1 1/4 cup.
