Ingredients

Chipotle Steak

1 1/2 pound top sirloin steak
1/8 teaspoon kosher salt to taste
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
2 7 ounce cans Chipotle pepper with adobo sauce
1 teaspoon vegetable oil

Copycat Chipotle Marinated Steak Directions

  1. Season the steak with salt and pepper making sure to get both sides
  2. put the steak in a ziplock bag, add the chipotle peppers and sauce, tossing to coat.
  3. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours but better if overnight.
  4. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add the steak, cooking for 5 minutes on each side.
  5. Remove the steak and let rest for 5 minutes,
  6. slice into bite-sized pieces.
