Ingredients:

1 15.25 ounce package yellow cake mix
1 4.6 ounce package vanilla pudding mix
1 1 ounce square unsweetened chocolate
1 Tablespoon butter
2 1/2 Tablespoon boiling water
1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted

Boston Cream Pie Directions

  1. Prepare 9 inch round yellow cake according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile prepare vanilla pudding according to directions on package.
  3. Chill. 
  4. Remove cake from oven, cool, and split crosswise into layers. Spread Bonilla pudding between layers and top with chocolate icing. 
  5. Melt chocolate and butter together in top of double boiler. Remove from heat and blend in boiling water and confectioners' sugar 
  6. Beat until Smith and spread over pie, allowing icing to trip over edge. 
  7. Makes eight servings
