Pineapple Bran Muffins

1 cup all-bran cereal
0.5 cup milk
1 cup crushed pineapple
0.25 cup raisins
0.25 cup shortening
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
0.5 tsp salt
0.25 tsp soda
0.5 cup brown sugar, firmly packed

Pineapple Bran Muffins Directions

  1. Combine all-bran, milk, pineapple, and raisins.
  2. Add shortening and egg; mix well.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt, soda, and brown sugar.
  4. Add to first mixture and mix until dampened.
  5. Divide the dough evenly between paper-lined muffin cups.
  6. Bake in a 400° oven 25 to 30 minutes
  7. Makes 12 muffins
