Preheat oven to 400°
Mix dry ingredients together, then add buttermilk, then eggs; beat well.
Using an iron skillet, greas bottom with preferably bacon grease or meat drippings.
Sprinkle cornmeal into pan.
Heat pan until grease melts, then add butter.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
