Ingredients

Ingredients:

4 cup hot water
1/2 cup shortening
5 Tablespoon sugar
1 Tablepsoon salt
3/4 cup evaporated milk
2 Tablespoon yeast
1/2 cup instant potatoes
3 large eggs
12 cups flour (you can use up to 14 if needed)

Potato Bread Directions

  1. Soften yeast in 1 cup warm water with 1 teaspoon of sugar.
  2. Place remaining ingredients and 6 cups of the flour in mixer. Let mixture knead for 10 minutes, add yeast and 6 cups of flour and need for 10 minutes adding more flower ½ cup a time until dough is not sticky.
  3. Unlock lid and let bread rise until it pushes lid up, punch down, form loaves. Let rise until rounded up of pans and bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 375 degrees and bake about 35 or 40 minutes. Makes six medium size loaves.
