Ingredients

Hawaiian Haystacks

2 10.5 ounce cans cream of mushroom soup
1 cup chicken broth
2 cups cooked chicken, cubed
4 cup cooked long-grain rice
9 1/2 ounces chow mein noodles
3 med tomatoes, cubed
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup green onion chopped
1 20 ounce can pineapple chunks, drained
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1/2 cup slivered almonds
1/2 cup coconut
1 2 ounce jar pimentos, drained and diced (opt.)
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped

Hawaiian Haystacks Directions

  1. Combione soup with chicken broth in a medium saucepan to make gravy.
  2. Stir to blend.
  3. Add chicken and simmer about 8 - 10 minutes until heated through.
  4. Place other ingredients in individual dishes.On individual plates, layer all ingredients.
  5. First, stack rice show mein noodles, chicken and gravy.
  6. Add tomatoes, celery, green pepper, and green onion.
  7. Top with the pineapple chunks, grated cheese and more chicken. (Gravy if desired.)
  8. Stack almonds, coconut on top/
