Golden Delicious apples ( up to 7 if needed)

lemon juice

Peel apples, if desired. Slice 1/4 inch thick to equal two cups. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine sugar, spice, salt and flour. Toss with apples.
Place into pastry and lined plate. Pat with butter or margarine. Adjusts top crust. Seal and flute edges, cut vents into crust.
Bake at 400°about 30 minutes or until crust is golden brown and apples are tender.
I have to cover with foil at the last to get apples tender and keep it from getting too brown.
