Ingredients

Ingredients:

1 cup flour
1.5 teaspoon baking powder
0.5 teaspoon salt
4 teasppon sugar
2 Tablespoons shortening
2 large eggs, well beaten
0.67 cup evaporated milk
1 16 ounce package corn, frozen

Corn Fritters Directions

  1. Work shortening into flower mixture with a fork. Mix together eggs width canned milk. Add flour mixture all at once and mix quickly but thoroughly. Add in mix whole kernel corn
  2. Heat oil in a heavy pot or deep fryer to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C).Drop fritter batter by spoonfuls into the hot oil, and fry until golden. Drain on paper towels.
