Ingredients:

1 9 inch pie crust
1 16 ounce can red tart cherries, pitted
1 cup sugar
3 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 Tablespoon butter
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 medium bananas

Cherry Banana Pie Directions

  1. Bake pie shell. 
  2. In saucepan, mix cherries (with liquid), sugar and cornstarch. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in butter; cool. Stir in cinnamon and almond extract. 
  3. Slice bananas in layers into baked pie shell. Pour filling over banana slices; chill until set. Serve topped with whipped cream and banana slices. 
  4. Makes 1-9 inch pie.
