Ingredients

Bananas Foster

1 Tbs unsalted butter
1 Tbs brown sugar
1 banana, peeled and sliced diagonally
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tbs dark rum
1/3 cup French vanilla ice cream, melted a bit
2 slices banana bread
1/2 cup French vanilla ice cream, not melted

Bananas Foster Directions

  1. In a small skillet, melt butter over high heat.
  2. Add brownsugar and melt.
  3. Add banana slices and vanilla extract cooking 1 minute to carmelize the banana
  4. Add rum; using a match, light the rum
  5. Let the flame burn until the alcohol burns off.
  6. Pour melted ice cream on a plate.
  7. Place bread over the melted ice cream, top with non melted ice cream.
  8. Top Ice cream with banana mixture.
  9. Serve immediately.
