Ingredients:
| 2 cup flour |
| 1/2 cup sugar |
| 1/2 cup shortening |
| 2 large eggs |
| 1 cup sour cream |
| 1 teaspoon baking powder |
| 1 teeaspoon baking soda |
Scotch Scones Directions
- Mix ingredients well. Pour onto well floured board, sprinkle with flour and pat to about ¾ inches thick. Cut into triangles. Whip egg white with with a fork until frothy and spread with pastry brush over the scones. Sprinkle with with sugar. Bake in quick oven (400 to 425 degrees ) for 12 to 15 minuets or until done and browned. Serve while hot.
