| 1 9 inch pie crust |
| 1 16 ounce can red tart cherries, pitted |
| 1 cup sugar |
| 3 Tablespoons cornstarch |
| 1 Tablespoon butter |
| 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
| 1 teaspoon almond extract |
| 2 medium bananas |
Cherry Banana Pie Directions
- Bake pie shell.
- In saucepan, mix cherries (with liquid), sugar and cornstarch. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and boils. Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in butter; cool. Stir in cinnamon and almond extract.
- Slice bananas in layers into baked pie shell. Pour filling over banana slices; chill until set. Serve topped with whipped cream and banana slices.
- Makes 1-9 inch pie.
