Ingredients:
| 4 cups whole wheat flour |
| 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour |
| 2 cups brown sugar, packed |
| 4 teaspoons baking soda |
| 1 teaspoon salt |
| 4 cups buttermilk |
Colonial Brown Bread Directions
- Preheat oven to 350° F preheat two 9 by 5 inch loaf pans.
- Lightly spoon flour in two measuring cup; level off.
- Mix first five ingredients in large bowl. Pour into prepared pans. Bake 1 hour. Serve warm.
- Tip: to reheat, wrap in foil; heat at 350° F
