Chili
| 2 lbs lean ground beef (more if you want it meatier) |
| 1 large onion, coarsely chopped |
| 2 tsp salt |
| 1 Tbs garlic, crushed |
| 3 Tbs chili powder |
| 1 Tbs garam marsala |
| 1/2 tsp cinnamon |
| 4 14 ounce can diced tomatoes |
| 1 4 ounce can green chilis |
| 1 large can tomatoes, crushed |
| 4 14 ounce cans pinto beans |
Prize-Winning Chili Directions
- Brown meat with chopped onions, salt, garlic and the spices.
- Add tomatoes and green chilis as well as chili powder, other spices and beans.
- Simmer for 15 minutes or so.
- Tastes even better on the second or third day when the spices have had time to really meld together.
- Serve with a dollop of sour cream on top.
- Can also garnish with cilantro, tortilla chips, and shredded cheese if you like.
