Crescent Chicken Squares
| 3 ounces cream cheese, softened |
| 3 Tbs melted butter |
| 2 cups cooked chicken |
| 1/4 tsp salt |
| 1/8 tsp pepper |
| 2 Tbs milk |
| 1 cup onion or chives, chopped |
| 1 Tbs chopped pimento (optional) |
| 1 8 ounce can Crescent dinner rolls |
Mary Jo's Savory Crescent Chicken Squares Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°
- In medium bowl, blend cream cheese and 2 tablespoons butter until smooth (reserve 1 Tablespoon)
- Add chicken, salt, pepper, milk, chopped onion, and pimento and mix well.
- Separate dough into 4 rectangles.
- Firmly press perforations to seal.
- Spoon 1/2 cup chicken mixture onto center of each rectangle.
- Pull corners of dough to top center of chicken mixture.
- Twist corners slightly and seal edges.
- Brush tops with reserved tablespoon butter.
- Dip in crouton crumbs or sesame seeds.
- Bake on ungreased cookie sheet 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Make 4 large sandwiches
