Drop biscuits
| 1 cup white flour |
| 1 cup whole wheat flour |
| 4 tsp baking powder |
| 1 Tbs sugar |
| 1/3 cup butter |
| 1 cup milk |
Baking Powder Drop Biscuits Directions
- Mix all ingredients together until everything is integrated; consistency should be fairly stiff.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
- Spoonfuls should be about double the size of what you would do for cookies.
- Cook at 400° for 10-12 minutes or until slightly golden on the edges.
- Serve with butter and jam.
Notes
Other varieties:
- Add 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese and a few diced jalapeno peppers. Serve with chili.
- Add 1/2 cup feta cheese or grated Parmesan cheese; serve with just about any soup.
- Add 1/2 cup grated orange peel and dried cranberries.
