Spoon Rolls:
| 1/4 cup hot water |
| 1 Tbs yeast |
| 1/8 tsp sugar (a pinch) |
| 3/4 cup water |
| 1/2 cup cold water |
| 1/2 cup sugar |
| 1/3 cup shortening |
| 1 tsp salt |
| 3 cup flour |
| 1 egg |
Spoon Rolls Directions
- Combine hot water, yeast, and sugar.
- Set aside in a covered bowl for 5 minutes.
- Scald 3/4 cup milk.
- Stir 1/2 cup cold water itno milk.
- Pour and mix the remaining ingredients.
- Cover bowl and let the dough rise 1 hour.
- Spoon into greased muffin tins.
- Let rise 1 more hour.
- Bake 15 minutes at 350°
Notes
Start the process 2 1/2 - 3 hours before you want to serve.
