Cubby Cookies

3/4 cup butter or shortening
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups quick oats
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 cup chocolate chips

Cubby Cookies Directions

  1. Mix well and drop onto a greased ookie sheet.
  2. Bake at 350° for 12 -15 minutes.
  3. Cookies stay soft and chewy if they are barely starting to brown.
