Italian Green Beans
| 2 tsp olive oil |
| 2 cloves garlic, minced |
| 1/2 medium onion, sliced |
| 1 14.5 ounce can stewed tomatoes |
| 1 cup water |
| 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed |
| 1/2 tsp dried basil |
| 1/8 tsp pepper (to taste) |
| 1/8 tsp salt (to taste) |
Italian Green Beans Directions
- In a non-stick frying pan, put in 2 teaspoons of olive oil and saute onions and garlic until tender, taking care not to burn the garlic.
- Add the tomatoes when onions are tender, making sure to add the juice too.
- Add water, green beans, and basil.
- Cover and simmer until green beans are tender, about 10 minutes.
Serve!
