Ingredients:
| 4 lean pork chops, 1/2 |
| 1/4 teaspoon salt |
| 1/8 teaspoon pepper |
| 1 Tablespoon shortening |
| 1 10.75 ounce can Cream of chicken or mushroom soup |
| 2/3 cup evaporated milk |
| 1/3 cup water |
Gravy-Baked Pork Chops Directions
- Sprinkle pork chops with salt and pepper and in any tenants scale of brown 1 tablespoon of hot shortening. Pour off drippings.
- Pour on the chops a mixture of cream of chicken or cream of mushroom soup and evaporated milk along with water.
- Bake in a 350° oven for 45 minutes until chops are tender. Stir gravy well. Makes four servings.
- Tip: instead of baking, you can cover and cook chops and gravy about 45 minutes over low heat, stirring now and then until chops are tender.
