Ingredients:
| 3 1/2 pounds chuck steaks |
| 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt |
| 1 teaspoon pepper |
| 2 Tablespoons salad oil |
| 1 1 3/4 ounce envelope onion soup |
| 1/2 cup chili sauce |
| 1 sprig parsley, chopped |
Savory Chuck Steak Directions
- About 45 minutes before serving: with sharp knife, cut and discard fat and bones from chuck steak; cut meat in two slices 1/4 inch wide. In large bowl, toss chuck with flour, salt and pepper.
- In large skillet, add salad oil, over medium heat, brown steak strips.Add onion soup mix, 1 cup cold water and chili sauce.
- Simmer, covered, 25 minutes or until meat is tender. Serve garnish with parsley.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings
