1 15.25 ounce package yellow cake mix |
1 4.6 ounce package vanilla pudding mix |
1 1 ounce square unsweetened chocolate |
1 Tablespoon butter |
2 1/2 Tablespoon boiling water |
1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted |
Boston Cream Pie Directions
- Prepare 9 inch round yellow cake according to package directions.
- Meanwhile prepare vanilla pudding according to directions on package.
- Chill.
- Remove cake from oven, cool, and split crosswise into layers. Spread Bonilla pudding between layers and top with chocolate icing.
- Melt chocolate and butter together in top of double boiler. Remove from heat and blend in boiling water and confectioners' sugar
- Beat until Smith and spread over pie, allowing icing to trip over edge.
- Makes eight servings
