3 cups sugar
1 cup water
1/4 lb butter
1 tsp peppermint flavoring
1 drops desired food coloring

Butter Cream Mints Directions

  1. Wash sides of a kettle and cook till candy reaches 250°
  2. Pour out onto a buttered marble slab.
  3. Add peppermint flavoring and desired coloring
  4. Streatch until full of air and it looses it coloring and gloss
  5. Cut into small pieces with scissors
  6. Let sit until dry and stor in an air tight container.
