Ingredients:
1 cup flour |
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
4 teasppon sugar |
2 Tablespoons shortening |
2 large eggs, well beaten |
2/3 cup evaporated milk |
1 16 ounce package corn, frozen |
Corn Fritters Directions
- Work shortening into flower mixture with a fork. Mix together eggs width canned milk. Add flour mixture all at once and mix quickly but thoroughly. Add in mix whole kernel corn
- Heat oil in a heavy pot or deep fryer to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C).Drop fritter batter by spoonfuls into the hot oil, and fry until golden. Drain on paper towels.
