Ingredients:
1 quart milk |
2 cups `sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 12 ounce can frozen orange juice |
1 12 ounce can evaporated milk |
1/2 pint whipping cream |
1 quart apricot nectar |
1 Tablespoon lemon juice |
Ethel's Homemade Ice Cream Directions
- Scald milk; add sugar and salt. Cool. Add canned milk, cream, Aber, nectar, orange juice, lemon juice and mix.
- Put in cylinder of ice cream freezer and freeze. (use about one part coarse salt to 5 parts crushed ice.)
- When frozen, drain off excess water and packed with more ice and salt. Cover and let mellow for 2 hours before serving. Makes 1 gallon
