1 1/2 quart cream |
1 1/2 cup sugar |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Philadelphia Ice Cream Directions
- Add sugar to cream and stir to dissolve.
- Add the vanilla and pour the makes into the can of an ice cream freezer.
- Place the cover on the top of freezer and place the dasher, cover and fasten.
- Fill the top ¼ full with chip ice.
- Complete killing the top mixture with one part salt and eight parts ice.
- Turn the handle slowly for 5 minutes, until it begins to turn with difficulty then turn rapidly until the mixture is hard.
- Drain the brine from the tub, remove the dasher and replace the cover. Close up the hole.
- Fill top one part salt to four parts ice.
- Leave packed for at least 1 hour. Deep freeze. Remove 2 hours before serving.
