Ingredients

Ingredients:

2 packages yeast
1/2 cup warm water
6 cups flour
2 Tablespoon sugar
1 Tablespoon salt
3 Tablespoons butter or margarine, softened

Cool-Rise Bread Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water in large warm pool. Add warm milk, sugar, salt, margarine. Stir in 2 cups flour. Beat with mixer until smooth(1 minute).  Add 1 cup flour and beat 150 strokes with wooden spoon. Gradually stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. About 2 1/2 to 3 cups. 
  2. Turn onto lightly floured board and knead until smooth and elastic. Cover with towel and let rise 20 minutes. Divide into two equal pieces shape into loaves. Place seam side down in greased flowered bread pan. Brush surface with oil. Cover with oiled wax paper then cover with transparent wrap. Place in refrigerator from 2 to 24 hours. Remove. Let stand 10 minutes. Break gas bubbles with greased toothpick. Bake at 400° for 30 to 40 minutes.
