Ingredients

Beef Stroganoff

1 1/4 lb round steak cut into 2 pieces
1/4 cup flour
3 Tbs butter or margarine
1 salt and pepper to taste
1/4 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 cup onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 14.5 ounce can beef broth
1/4 cup flour
1 cup sour cream
1 12 ounce pkg egg noodles

Beef Stroganoff Directions

  1. Dust themeat with flour, salt and pepper.
  2. Brown meat slightly in butter or margarine.
  3. Remove meat from pan and saute onions and mushrooms in the same pan.
  4. Por meat, onion-mushrooms and beef broth in crockpot on high; cover and cook 6 hours.
  5. If you do not want to use a crockpot, make the stroganoff the same way and simmer it on the stove for 1-1 1/2 hours.
  6. Watch it and possibly add extra beef broth.
  7. Fifteen minutes before serving, start cooking the noodles.
  8. thicke strganoff gravy with about 1/4 cup flour made into pase with broth or water.
  9. Make the sauce fairly thick, because the sour cream will thin it greatly.
  10. Add sour cream.
  11. Serve on top of noodles.
