Cranberry Bread
1 cup sugar |
1 Tbs grated orange peel |
3/4 cup water |
1/2 cup orange juice |
2 Tbs oil |
1 egg |
2 cup flour |
1 1/2 tsp baking powder |
1 tsp salt |
1/2 tsp baking soda |
1 cup fresh cranberries or craisins |
1 cup walnuts/pecans, chopped |
Cranberry Bread Directions
- Blend sugar, orange peel, water, orange juice, oil, and egg.
- Stir dry ingredients into wet ingredients on a large bowl by hand, stirring 25-35 strokes until all is moistened.
- Blen in nuts and berries.
- Pour into greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan or 2 small loaf pans.
- Bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes. Shorted for smaller loaves
