Ingredients

Rolls

1 pkg yeast
1/2 cup warm water
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
3 1/2 cup flour
6 Tbs butter, melted

Filling:

2 Tbs butter, brush on dough
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tbs grated orange rind

Glaze:

1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
2 Tbs orange juice

Orange Rolls Directions

  1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water.
  2. Beat in sugar, eggs, butter, salt, sour cream.
  3. Beat in 2 cups flour, then knead in the rest.
  4. Let rise until double.
  5. Knead the dough 15 times, then roll into 2 (12 inch) circles.
  6. Spread circles with melted butter; sprinkle with filling.
  7. Cut into 12 wedges and rioll each one up(like a crescent.)
  8. Let rise until double.
  9. Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
  10. For the filling: mix sugar and orange rind together and sprinkle on the dough
  11. For the Glaze: Place butter, sugar, sour cream, and orange juice in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
  12. Boil over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
  13. Pour over rolls immediately after removing from the oven.
