Ingredients
Rolls
1 pkg yeast |
1/2 cup warm water |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup sour cream |
3 1/2 cup flour |
6 Tbs butter, melted |
Filling:
2 Tbs butter, brush on dough |
1/2 cup sugar |
2 Tbs grated orange rind |
Glaze:
1/2 cup butter |
3/4 cup sugar |
1/2 cup sour cream |
2 Tbs orange juice |
Orange Rolls Directions
- Dissolve the yeast in warm water.
- Beat in sugar, eggs, butter, salt, sour cream.
- Beat in 2 cups flour, then knead in the rest.
- Let rise until double.
- Knead the dough 15 times, then roll into 2 (12 inch) circles.
- Spread circles with melted butter; sprinkle with filling.
- Cut into 12 wedges and rioll each one up(like a crescent.)
- Let rise until double.
- Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
- For the filling: mix sugar and orange rind together and sprinkle on the dough
- For the Glaze: Place butter, sugar, sour cream, and orange juice in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
- Boil over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Pour over rolls immediately after removing from the oven.
