Ingredients

Sugar Drop Cookies

2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
3 large eggs
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
5 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder

Frosting

1/2 cup butter or margarine
3 cups confectioner's sugar (more if needed
Cream or milk as needed
1 tsp vanilla

Sugar Drop Cookies Directions

  1. Cream sugar and shortening.
  2. Create hole in center of sugar/shortening mixture with beaters.
  3. Beat eggs and vanilla together in a lather in the center.
  4. Blend with creamed sugar/shortening mixtures.
  5. Add sour cream and blend.
  6. Add flour 1 cup at a time, with salt, baking soda and baking powder.
  7. Drop cookie dough by tablespoon on a greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake at 375° for approximately 10 -12 minutes.
  9. Pull cookies from oven when peaks (only) are tinged to a golden brown, Cookies should still be soft.
  10. Cppl, then frost.
  11. For the frosting
  12. gream butter, adding confectioners' suger slowly adding cream and mil to get desited consistency.
  13. Add vanilla and combine.
  14. Frost colled cookies.
  15. Ad sprinkles if desired.
  16. ENJOY!
