Ingredients

Italian Green Beans

2 tsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 medium onion, sliced
1 14.5 ounce can stewed tomatoes
1 cup water
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/8 tsp pepper (to taste)
1/8 tsp salt (to taste)

Italian Green Beans Directions

  1. In a non-stick frying pan, put in 2 teaspoons of olive oil and saute onions and garlic until tender, taking care not to burn the garlic.
  2. Add the tomatoes when onions are tender, making sure to add the juice too.
  3. Add water, green beans, and basil.
  4. Cover and simmer until green beans are tender, about 10 minutes.

  5. Serve!
