Ingredients

Chocolate Chunk Cookies

1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 Tbs molasses
1/2 tsp salt
1 large egg, beaten
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup old-fashioned oats
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks or chips.

Chocolate Chunk Cookies Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. Place cookiesheet in Freezer before starting the cookie dough.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter until smooth, add the brown and granulated sugar, craming them all together.
  4. Add the molasses, salt, egg, and vanilla, blending well.
  5. Next, add the flour, baking powder and baking soda. stirring until blended
  6. Stir in the oats, and chocolate.
  7. Lin the colled cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  8. Use a ice cream scoop or a tablespoon to make large cookies, droppin each on parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 10 minutes.
  10. Move to wire rack when done to cool.
