Ingredients

Spaghetti with Clam sauce

1 Tbs Olive oil
3 Tbs butter
3 Tbs flour
1 tsp garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
2 Tbs white wine (optional)
1/4 cup green pepper, finely minced
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
1 pint half & half
1 cup heavy vream
2 6 ounce cans chopped clams
1 8 ounce bottle clam juice

Old Spaghetti Factory copycat Spaghetti with Clam Sauce Directions

  1. Fill a pot on the stove with hot water and salt, add about 1" bundles of noodles.
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of the olive oil to keep the noodles from sticking
  3. Cook until al dente. Do not over cook.
  4. In a heavy skillet, melt butter, add olive oil, minced garlic, onions, green pepper, salt, and pepper, 
  5. Add flour and cook until light golden brown.
  6. Add reserved juice and bottled clam juice, white wine, and half & half,  stirring until thickened.
  7. Add Italian parsley and clams.
  8. Serve over noodles
