Spaghetti with Clam sauce
1 Tbs Olive oil |
3 Tbs butter |
3 Tbs flour |
1 tsp garlic, minced |
1/2 tsp salt |
1/4 tsp black pepper, freshly ground |
2 Tbs white wine (optional) |
1/4 cup green pepper, finely minced |
1/2 medium onion, finely chopped |
1 pint half & half |
1 cup heavy vream |
2 6 ounce cans chopped clams |
1 8 ounce bottle clam juice |

Old Spaghetti Factory copycat Spaghetti with Clam Sauce Directions
- Fill a pot on the stove with hot water and salt, add about 1" bundles of noodles.
- Add 1 tablespoon of the olive oil to keep the noodles from sticking
- Cook until al dente. Do not over cook.
- In a heavy skillet, melt butter, add olive oil, minced garlic, onions, green pepper, salt, and pepper,
- Add flour and cook until light golden brown.
- Add reserved juice and bottled clam juice, white wine, and half & half, stirring until thickened.
- Add Italian parsley and clams.
- Serve over noodles
