Ingredients

Chipotle Grilled Steak Marinade

4 6 ounce steaks
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 med red onion, quartered
2 Tablespoons fresh oregano, chopped
2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon black pepper, fresh ground
1 2 ounce package dried ancho chilis

Chipotle Marinated Steak Directions

  1. Soak dry chilies overnight in water.
  2. Remove seeds.
  3. Add all ingredients except meat in a food processor.
  4. Puree until smooth.
  5. Spread mixture over the steak and refrigerate at least one hour up to 24 hours.
  6. Heat grill and cook steaks until done. About 8-10 minutes per side.
