3 1/2 pounds chuck steaks
2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 Tablespoons salad oil
1 1 3/4 ounce envelope onion soup
1/2 cup chili sauce
1 sprig parsley, chopped

Savory Chuck Steak Directions

  1. About 45 minutes before serving: with sharp knife, cut and discard fat and bones from chuck steak; cut meat in two slices 1/4 inch wide. In large bowl, toss chuck with flour, salt and pepper.
  2. In large skillet, add salad oil, over medium heat, brown steak strips.Add onion soup mix, 1 cup cold water and chili sauce.
  3. Simmer, covered, 25 minutes or until meat is tender. Serve garnish with parsley.
  4. Makes 6 to 8 servings
