1/4 cup brown sugar |
2 cups yellow or pineapple cake mix |
1 large egg |
5 pineapple slices |
5 maraschino cherries |
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed |
Topsy-Turvy Pineapple Cake Directions
- Grease eight or 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle 1/4 cup brown sugar on bottom. Combine cake mix, egg and pineapple juice. Blend and beat as directed on package. Pour into pan. Arrange pineapple slices and cherries on batter. And sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 350° F for 30 to 35 minutes or until done. Invert immediately on serving plate. Let stand 5 minutes before removing pan. Serving a crop? Use a full box of cake mix, double other ingredients and bake in a 13 by 9 inch pan or 29 inch square or round pans.
