Ingredients

Cherry Crumble Squares

1 17oz pkg yellow cake mix
1/4 cup butter or margarine melted
2 large eggs
1 1lb 5 ounce can cherry pie filling
1 package coconut-almond or coconut-pecan frosting mix
2 Tbl butter or margarine, melted

Cherry Crumble Squares Directions

  1. Combine cake mix, butter and eggs and tell dry ingredients are well mixed hat into 13 x 9 inch pan. Grease on bottom only: top with cherry filling. Combine frosting mix with butter: sprinkle over cherries. Bake at 350° F 430 to 35 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.

Coconut Pecan frosting mix substitute

Recipe Ingredients:

1 cup sweetened flaked coconut
3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup chopped pecans
3 tablespoons butter or margarine

Cooking Directions:

  1. In a medium bowl combine coconut, brown sugar, flour and pecans; mix well.
  2. Using a fork or pastry blender cut in butter or margarine until mixture is crumbly.
  3. Use as desired.
