Ingredients

Cake

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cup mashed ripe bananas
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt

Fro

1/2 cup butter/margarine, softened
1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
4 cups confectioners' sugar
3 tsp vanilla extract

Cherry Kuchen Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
  2. Beat in eggs, bananas, and vanilla.
  3. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; add to creamed mixture.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Pour in greased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan.
  6. Bake at 350° for 25 minutes or until bars test done.
  7. Cool.
  8. For the Frosting: Cream butter and cream cheese in a mixing bowl.
  9. Gradually add confectioners' sugar and vanilla; beat well.
  10. Spread over bars.
