Ingredients

Chocolate Pecan Strata

1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
1 1/2 cup flour
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup Cool Whip
1 3.9 ounce package instant chocolate pudding mix
1 3.9 ounce package instant vanilla pudding mix
4 cup milk divided

Chocolate Pecan Strata Directions

  1. Mix melted butter, flour, and pecans together.
  2. Press into a 9 x 13-inch pan.
  3. Bake 15 minutes at 400°
  4. Let cool.
  5. Mix together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and Cool Whip.
  6. Pour over cooled crust.
  7. Mix chocolate pudding with 2 cups milk.
  8. Do the same with the vanilla pudding.
  9. Spread chocolate pudding mixture on top of cream cheese mixture.
  10. Spread vanilla pudding  mixture on top of chocolate mixture.
  11. Cover entirely with Cool Whip.
  12. Sprinkle with shaved chocolate pieces.
  13. Refrigerate.

Notes

Feel free to top with more chopped pecans if you want them instead of chocolate shavings.
