Ingredients

Coffee Cake

1 large egg, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp butter, melted
1 cup flour

Topping

1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 Tbs flour
1 Tbs butter, melted
1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Coffee Cake Directions

  1. Combine egg, sugar, milk, and shortening.
  2. Add flour, with baking powder and salt.
  3. Mix well and pour in a paper-lined 8 x 8 2-inch pan.
  4. Sprinkle with topping mixture.
  5. Bake at 375° for 20-25 minutes.
