Chicken Roaster
1 whole chicken (5-7 pounds) |
1 Tbs salt |
1 tsp cayenne pepper |
1 tsp onnion powder |
3/4 tsp garlic powder |
1/4 tsp Black Pepper, ground |
2 tsp smoked paprika |
4 tsp thyme |
Chicken Roaster Directions
- Combine salt, paprika, cayenne pepper, onion powder, thyme, garlic powder, white and black pepper,.
- Mix well.
- Rub the chicken with combined spices.
- Place the chicken in a resealable bag.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for 12 hours.
- Remove the chicken from the bag.
Arrange in a baking pan with a wire rack. - Preheat oven to 245 degrees.
- Roast the chicken for 4 hours 30 minutes, Basting the chicken after an hour, repeating every 40 minutes.
