Ingredients
Whole Wheat Bread Bowls
1 cup +3 Tbs warm water |
2 Tbs Olive oil |
2 cups whole wheat flour |
1 cup bread flour |
1 tsp sugar |
1 tsp salt |
2 1/2 tsp active dry yeast |
1 large egg white (optional) |
1/4 cup butter, melted (optional) |
Whole wheat Brad Bowls Directions
- Combine all the ingredients in your bread machine according to manufacturer recommendations.
- Set on the dough cycle and let run.
- After the cycle completes, turn fough out on a floured surface and divide into 4 equal parts.
- Roll each part into a ball and place on a greased cookie sheet.
- Let the dough raise for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 425°
- Brush top of the dough balls with an egg wash or melted butter.
- Bake for 15 to 25 minutes.
- To serve, cut off the tops of the bowl and remove the insides of the bowl, filling the remaining cavity with hot soup, chowder or stew.
